Clara Campo and Aran Lozano want to change the meaning of borders: they turn barbed wire into jewellery.
This artistic idea started when thousands of people arrived at European shores seeking asylum. They decided to create a jewellery line called “Welcome” as a form of protest against the European borders. Each jewel is a piece of the barbed wire that shapes the borders from Serbia to Melilla, and it is turned into a symbol of respect, tolerance and human dignity.
